Nikolay Titov: The well-being of the population seriously depends on the well-coordinated work of the Rosselkhoznadzor and Veterinary Administration
Today, the Rosselkhoznadzor Department of the Republic of Tatarstan, in cooperation with the General Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, held public meeting on the results of the Office’s law enforcement practice in the second quarter of this year. The event was chaired by the head of the Office Nurislam Habipov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Titov, Chairman of the Association of Farmers and Peasant Farms of the RT as well as representatives of federal and republican structures and mass media.
Opening the event, Nikolay Titov noted the coordinated work of the two services. “In the regions close to Tatarstan, there are periodical diseases among animals. So, this summer, in the Nizhny Novgorod and Ulyanovsk regions, were recorded the centers of the spread of ASF (African swine fever). We can not shut off the iron wall. Life is a constant movement. The well-being of the population of our republic seriously depends on the well-coordinated work of these services, on their constant monitoring”, the first deputy minister said.
Nikolai Titov also noted the importance of delivering reliable information to the public and expressed gratitude to the media for their honest work.
Speaking about the “Mercury” system, Nikolay Titov admitted that at the first stages its implementation is not easy to perceive, but in the end it will protect food products from falsification. “The population is increasingly leaning towards natural products and must be confident in the products it purchases. We must regard each case of falsification as an emergency, ”said the first deputy minister, addressing the press as well.
Also during the event, they reminded entrepreneurs engaged in importing animals and poultry to the Republic of compulsory approval of importation with Veterinary Administration, which is especially important during the preparation for the holiday of Kurban Bayram, which this year will be held on August 11.
At the end of the public hearing, was held a discussion on current issues of the industry.
