25 July 2019, Thursday

In the first half of 2019 in Russia, the production of milk in farms of all categories amounted to 15,267.7 thousand tons. This is 209 thousand tons (+ 1.4%) more than the same period last year.

The greatest increase in milk production was provided by the households of Voronezh (+46.1 thousand tons), Belgorod (+32.7 thousand tons), Kaluga (+25.5 thousand tons), Kirov (+21.9 thousand tons), Tyumen (+15.5 thousand tons) regions, the Udmurt Republic (+18.2 thousand tons) and the Republic of Tatarstan (+16.2 thousand tons).

In the country, as of today, the gross daily milk yield in agricultural organizations is about 4 thousand tons, which is 145 tons (+ 3.8%) more than at the same date last year.

It should be noted that dairy cattle breeding is one of the priorities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and, thanks to the implementation by the Ministry of measures to support the production and sale of milk in the republic, positive results are noted.
