Marat Akhmetov: 470 thousand tons of fodder units were procured in Tatarstan

The progress of the work on feeds and field processing was reported today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov.

The meeting was held in the form of video conferencing with all municipal districts by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin.

The minister said that many agricultural companies have already completed the first-cut harvest of perennial grasses. To date, 250 thousand tons of hay and 1.2 million tons of haylage have been harvested - 470 thousand tons of fodder units or 9 centners of fodder units per 1 head.

“We have 3 districts with a livestock density of over 40 animals per 100 hectares of farmland. These are Baltasinsky, Atninsky and Sabinsky districts. And in these areas was marked the most high-performance work. We can note the organized work of the farms of Aktanyshsky, Kukmorsky, Arsky, Tyulyachinsky, Yutazinsky districts, ”said Marat Akhmetov.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture focused on the topic of field processing. Thus, according to the structure of crops in the republic, 341 thousand hectares of vapors and over half of the crops of winter crops will be placed in pairs. According to current information, today 274 thousand hectares or 80% of the forecast have been processed.

According to the minister, this year the republic faced a serious problem on the winter wedge. The death of winter crops was 39% of the sown area - 219 thousand hectares. Damage is estimated at 1.6 billion rubles. Marat Akhmetov noted that documents for damages had been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. "Currently, the verification of documents is completed, and we hope to receive a certain amount of financial support," he said.

Marat Akhmetov also reported that from the beekeepers of the republic there are complaints about the mass death of bees in apiaries. The reason is associated with chemical treatments of crops. The Minister noted that the use of pesticides is regulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals. He urged farm managers to take a more responsible approach to this requirement, as well as to warn the population and veterinary services in advance about the upcoming field treatments.
