Marat Akhmetov took part in the opening of a plant for the production of plant protection products
Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan took part in the opening ceremony of the Avgust-Alabuga plant.
Avgust is the largest Russian manufacturer and supplier of plant protection chemicals. This plant has become the second major investment project of the company in Tatarstan - in August, the August-Muslum agricultural enterprise was launched.
At the opening ceremony of the new plant, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the production is organized for import substitution and export potential. “Plant protection products are some of the most serious elements for our agro-industrial complex to be successful. There is no secret that the bulk of plant protection products have always been purchased by us thanks to the August company, we can provide not only Russian consumers. The company "August" is already promoting its product to the markets of about 20 countries. And I think that this number will increase. We have already inspected the enterprises today, and I can say that this is one of the modern industries. Technologies 4.0 here are fully implemented - this is high quality products, and high performance and efficiency. Today more than 4.5 billion rubles have been invested in the project. More than 300 new jobs will be created. I want to say that the company "August" for us is not just a manufacturer of plant protection products, but also our strategic partner. The company in the field of agriculture already has its own divisions in our country”, said Rustam Minnikhanov, wishing the company successful work and development. The President of the Republic also thanked everyone who participated in the implementation of this project.

"August-Alabuga" - a plant for the production of plant protection products, as well as plastic packaging. The project aims to replace foreign counterparts with domestic ones. The planned volume of production at the plant "August-Alabuga" - 50 million liters of liquid pesticides annually. There are at least five potential consumers in Tatarstan, including Agrosila, Krasny Vostok Agro, Agro-Invest.
The volume of investments in the project exceeded 4.5 billion rubles. Almost 120 jobs were created, and by the end of 2019, more than 200 are planned to be created.
