On June 23, Sabantuy was celebrated at the Kazan hippodrome with a horse show. Races of ponies, trotters and horses of riding breeds took place here. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Ilsur Metshin, Marat Akhmetov, the head of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov and others attended the competition in the international equestrian complex Kazan.
The guests visited the exhibition of agricultural products, which were presented goods from various regions of Tatarstan. A fair of souvenirs, foot-cords with national food, a concert program and a photo-zone were also presented at the hippodrome. Also there was raffled a lottery among the visitors, the main prize was a ticket to Turkey.
The race day program included 4 runs and 9 trotters, riding horses and ponies. The best racers and jockeys are not only from all over Tatarstan, but also from other regions of Russia, came to compete for the prize fund of the tournament in the amount of 2,800,000.
One of the most spectacular was the race for the Golden Argamak prize, where 13 thoroughbred horses of the Akhal-Teke breed competed in speed and endurance. The stallion Triumph-Gels from the Moscow region won the race.
A tough fight was in a 1600 meter race for the “Sabantuy-2019” prize. Stallion Vasileus snatched victory from stallion Irbis. By the way, both horses represent the equestrian club "Dynamo" of the Ministry of Interior in RT.
According to the results of the 2000 m race for the Kazan Kremlin Cup, the stallion of the thoroughbred riding breed Paphos won.
In the race to 1,800 meters for the prize of memory Z.I.Habibullina first finished mare from Tatarstan Zakraina Luke. In the race at a distance of 2000 meters for the prize “The Beauty of Tatarstan”, the mare Soti Uno TN was the fastest.
Among the horses of Arabian breed in a race at a distance of 1200 meters for the prize "Arab star" stallion Slavutych won. The award remained in Tatarstan, as the horse belongs to the equestrian club "Dynamo" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Very young riders also took part in the competition. In the pony race at a distance of 400 meters, the “Young Hope” prize was won by Jakonda.
In the race at a distance of 1800 meters for the prize of the Kazan Municipality, the stallion from America Gladiator Maximus was the fastest.
In the race at a distance of 2400 meters, the stallion Dynamite from Tatarstan was the first to finish. The Golden Mile prize went to the stallion from the Orenburg region.
In the 1800 meter race for the prize of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Londark's horse from Tatarstan won.
