On June 6, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a round table of the Tatarstan Republican Organization of the Trade Union of Agribusiness Workers of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by Farida Garifullina, Chairman of the Tatarstan Republican Organization of the Trade Union of AIC Workers of the Russian Federation, Oleg Zemskov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatyana Vasilyeva, Deputy Chairman of the FPRT, Tatagrokhim, General Director, Employers 'Representative, Nail Gubaidullin, Deputy Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Peasants farmsteads and agricultural consumer cooperatives of Tatarstan Zufar Bayazitov.

“In 2019, the Trade Union of workers of the APK of the Russian Federation celebrates its 100th anniversary. Of course, this is a very significant event for all of us, ”said Farida Garifullina, opening the event.

The agenda of the round table raised social partnership issues, wage increases and ensuring normal working conditions, socio-economic guarantees for workers in the agro-industrial complex.

Farida Garifullina noted that the Republican organization of the trade union celebrates its anniversary with certain successes. If you look at the rating of regional organizations, the republican organization is in the top four among 82 regional organizations of the Russian Federation. The main criteria for evaluating the activities are the development of social partnership principles, the availability of a Branch Agreement, the cost of existing collective agreements at enterprises and organizations, and intra-union and financial activities. Active work is underway to increase the membership base. Since 2018, 12 primary trade union organizations have been created. Of course, this is the result of our joint work.

In May of this year, the next Industry Agreement for 2019-2021 was signed. The main objective of the Sector Agreement Parties is to systematically increase the real incomes of workers of the industry, bringing the level of real wages in agriculture to 80% of the average wage in the republic.

The chairman of the trade union organization noted that in the agro-industrial sector there is a tendency to increase in wages. According to Rosstat, the average monthly wage in agriculture as of April 1 of the current year is 22,274 rubles. This is about 62% of the average salary.

In order to solve the wage problems, Farida Garifullina suggested when providing enterprises with various forms of support to take into account the conditions of labor protection and salary payments, and when considering candidates for the heads of organizations submitted for state awards and honorary titles of the Russian Federation, take into account participation in the system of social partnership.

“The presence of a trade union organization in an enterprise is an indicator of high consciousness not only of ordinary workers, but also of employers, who thus recognized the importance of the trade union and realized their benefits. Recently, we are particularly pleased that we have found a common language with many employers of large enterprises and try to collaborate  with them. Thanks to our joint work, the quality of collective agreements is improved, great attention is paid to their implementation, thereby ensuring the conditions for normal productive work, ”said Farida Garifullina.

The round table was held in the format of a lively dialogue. The participants also discussed issues of women's labor in rural areas, provision of housing, additional payments, VAT refunds, vocational education, etc.

At the end of the event, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Zemskov handed over the thanks of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan for protecting the labor and socially significant rights of workers of the agro-industrial complex to trade union activists of the Republic of Tatarstan.
