Nikolay Titov recommended that agricultural producers start forage harvesting during the period of plant budding
This week, an illustrative parade of forage harvesting equipment was held at the agricultural firm “Vatan” of the Arsk District. The event was attended by the commission, headed by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Titov, specialists of the agricultural department and the Rosselkhoz Center, the inspector of the Gostekhnadzor of the region, heads and chief engineers of the farms.
During the event, the participants got recommendations on the laying of haylage and silage, discussed the use of preservatives when laying the feed in the storage and the necessary conditions to ensure the safe operation of machines.
At the end of the event, Nikolay Titov noted the high readiness of the machinery for the forage season, and also set tasks for the heads of farms to ensure that the machines were ready for timely and high-quality forage and recommended to start forage harvesting in time before the blossom.
Also, a special commission of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan checked the equipment in the Nurlatsky district, starting with checking the documents of the machine operators and ending with the serviceability of all the parts.
According to the specialists of the agrofirm "Yuzhnaya", the area of fodder crops on the farm is more than 2 thousand hectares. “We are waiting for the generous harvest of herbs from the fields. The main task is to mow them in a short time and properly store them. The field work is organized in two shifts. In the first crop we plan to procure at least 10-12 centners of feed units.. Work on the preparation of high-quality feed can not be delayed. This year the district has been given the task of preparing at least 35 centners of feed units for each head of livestock. Then the winter will no longer be terrifying”, say the farmers.
