The construction of an assembly plant for agricultural aircraft of the MV-500 brand and an experimental aviation aerodrome with an investment volume of 2.5 billion rubles has started in Tatarstan in the city of Innopolis with the participation of Sergey Chemezov, the general director of the Rostec state corporation, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan.

Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov noted that small aircraft equipment is in demand in the republic during field work, as it allows fertilizer application and processing of crops without causing damage to them.

The project is being implemented by the state corporation Rostec together with Tatarstan by agreement on the creation and implementation in the territory of the Republic of the All-Russian Aviation Chemistry System, which was signed on MAKS-2017. A plot of land for construction of the facility has been allocated by the Tatarstan government. The territory of the enterprise will be part of the special economic zone "Innopolis", which will give the opportunity to receive the corresponding preferences, including tax incentives.

The President of Tatarstan commented that it will give a huge amount of work for Tatarstan, Russian suppliers, as well as new jobs. The proximity of such an intellectual center as Innopolis will also contribute to the development of the project.

MV-500 is a modern aircraft for aircraft chemical production by the Kazan company MVEN. The aircraft received a type certificate in September 2018 and became the first certified aircraft for agricultural use in modern Russia.

The aircraft has a composite glider and can be operated in different climatic conditions. The aircraft is equipped with a high-speed parachute system, which allows the rescue of the crew. The machine can be used to monitor the environment (especially during a fire hazard period), survey large industrial facilities, influence hydrometeorological phenomena, treat forests from pests, and eliminate oil spills. Load capacity - up to 560 kilograms. The aircraft will be sold under the brand name T-500.
