The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported about the current course of the sowing campaign in the republic and the development of the livestock industry.
The meeting was held in the form of video conferencing with all municipal districts by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin.
Marat Akhmetov said that the sowing campaign in the republic is coming to its end. Today, 1.63 million hectares have been sown, representing 93% of the plan. It remains to cover another 150 thousand hectares. Northern spring crops are scheduled for completion next week. In parallel with the main sowing goes the reseeding of dead winter crops. It remains to sow less than 100 thousand hectares. Also, a number of farms are already actively taking protective measures on the fields.
Then the minister briefly reported on the main indicators of animal husbandry for 4 months of the current year. The main types of products provided a positive trend to the level of last year. 430 thousand tons of milk were produced, with an increase of 4%. About 400 million eggs were produced (119%).
As for meat, livestock and poultry, the volume over the past period increased by 2% and reached 132.7 thousand tons. In general, an increase in meat production was achieved due to modern pig-breeding complexes. At full load of 12 thousand pigs, a new complex Phoenix LLC was launched in the Tukayevsky district. Additional reserves in the technological cycle involved "Kamsky Bacon", as well as "Tukash" Tyulyachinsky, "Avangard" Buinsky, "Agrokam" Rybno-Slobodsky, "TatmitAgro" Sabinsky areas.
Poultry meat also showed an increase of 1.5 thousand tons or 2%. First of all, this is the result of the measures taken by the state to support the farms. High growth rates are shown by farms of Laishevsky, Muslyumovsky, Tukaevsky and Kukmorsky districts.
Marat Akhmetov also said that today agricultural enterprises produce more than 3,700 tons of milk every day, which is more than last year’s level by 150 tons or 4%. In the whole country, the growth is 3%.
“The republic covers 7.5 percent of the country's milk volume and continues to occupy a leading position among the regions. Next comes the Krasnodar territory with a daily volume of 2,900 tons. Voronezh and Kirov regions provide 2000 tons each”, the minister noted. He added that the amount of the purchase prices for milk in the country exceeds 23 rubles per kg, which is 4 rubles higher than a year earlier.
