On May 7, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan hosted a celebration in honor of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Titov, chairman of the Tatarstan Republican organization of the trade union of agribusiness workers of the Russian Federation Farid Garifullina and chairman of the Council of veterans of the agroindustrial complex Anatoly Dragunov congratulated the guests of honor on the upcoming holiday.
Nikolay Titov welcomed the participants. “We are very glad to see you here at the Palace of Farmers,” the First Deputy Minister noted. - This year the country will celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Of course, these difficult years are captured in the memory of each of you. But let them never be repeated. ”
Nikolay Titov thanked the participants of the meeting for their heroism, courage and selfless work during the war. “It is impossible to assess the difficult way you have passed. We will always remember our heroes who fought on the battlefield and those who spared no effort worked in the rear, giving everything to the front, everything for Victory, ”he said.
The First Deputy Minister reminded the audience about the importance of agriculture during the war years and the role of Tatarstan as the country's rear region in the food supply of the army and the population. During the four years of the war, the agricultural sector of the republic produced and delivered to the state 131 million pounds of bread, 39 million pounds of potatoes and vegetables, 56 million pounds of meat, 200 million liters of milk, tens of thousands of pounds of butter, fat, honey, hay and other products. It was a significant contribution to the victory.
Nikolay Titov wished the participants good health, well-being and long life. The meeting was traditionally held in a spiritual atmosphere, war veterans and home front workers during tea drinking recalled difficult years and songs of the war years.
