As of May 6, spring sowing in Tatarstan was carried out on 812.5 thousand hectares, which is 47% of the forecast.

“This year, the sowing of spring crops is planned to be carried out on an area of 1 million 742 thousand hectares, while spring crops will be sown on 971.6 thousand hectares,” said Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

As of May 6, 554.4 thousand hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops were sown in the republic, which is 57% of the forecast. It includes wheat - 154.6 thousand hectares (44%), barley - 309.8 thousand. hectares (75%), peas - 40.9 thousand hectares (63%), and oats - 43.8 (69%).

In addition, sugar beet was sown on 48.5 thousand hectares (75% of the forecast), rapeseed - on 17.4 thousand hectares (17%).

According to the data on May 6, the planting continues in all 43 municipal districts of the republic. “In a number of districts, this work has already been completed by more than 50%,” Ildus Gabdrakhmanov emphasized.

According to the deputy minister, among the leaders of the sowing campaign are the Zainsky District, where spring crops are sown on 29.5 thousand hectares (68% of the forecast), Buinsky - 42.4 thousand hectares (67.7%), Drozhzhanovsky - 27.6 thousand hectares (67.5%), Aksubayevsky - 29.0 thousand hectares (66.2%), Aktanyshsky - 36.9 thousand hectares (66.1%).

The Nurlatsky district is also growing at a high rate - today, spring sowing here was carried out on 32.1 thousand hectares (65.8% of the forecast), Tetyushsky - 29.1 thousand hectares (64.3%), Yutazinsky - 14.8 thousand hectares (63.9%), Apastovsky - 21.3 thousand hectares (62.7%), Aznakaevsky - 36.0 thousand hectares (60.9%), Leninogorsk district - 20.3 thousand hectares ( 60.5%)
