27 April 2019, Saturday

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov told today at a meeting in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan about the priorities during the field work.

The meeting was held in the form of video conferencing with all municipal districts by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin.

Thus, among the important tasks is the completion of the closure of moisture to maximize the preservation of existing stocks; definition of a winter wedge; ensuring the rate of sowing is not at the expense of quality.

Speaking about the closure of moisture, Marat Akhmetov said that the volume of work - 3.1 million hectares. At present, the closure of moisture was carried out on an area of 2.0 million hectares (or 65% of the plan).

As for winter crops, there are more than 500 thousand hectares of them, the minister said. High snow cover, thawed soil due to warm weather, more prolonged descent of snow led to depletion of plants. “This week we again conducted an audit of the winter crops fields, connecting scientists, specialists from the Ministry and federal structures,” Marat Akhmetov said. - According to rough calculations, direct damage amounts to about 1.5 billion rubles. Moreover, nighttime temperatures below zero are forecasted ahead. We have over 120 thousand hectares of total death, and in general, more than half of the winter crops areas have been seriously affected. Therefore, monitoring by the farms themselves must be constant in order to make the right decisions. ”

According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the dead fields it is important to re-plant using spring sowing technology with appropriate soil preparation.

“Due to adequate food and timely protection of crops, we will be able to resolve the issue of providing winter sowing with seeds in 2019,” said Marat Akhmetov.

He further reported on the sowing of spring crops. “In the republic, only some of our northern regions have not started planting spring crops. But today it is very important to sift out as quickly as possible so that the seeds are laid down in a moist layer of soil, which will make it possible to get away from the “raggedness” of the crops. For this morning, spring sowing works were carried out on an area of more than 300 thousand hectares. Compared to last year, this is a great start for the plants to catch both moisture and the May sun. ”

Marat Akhmetov reminded that there are 4 climatic zones in the republic.

The highest productivity in the East-Zakam zone. It has been sowed 23% of the forecast. Zainsky, Sarmanovsky and Aktanysh districts have indicators of 49, 36 and 35% respectively.

Next - Western Trans-Kama region, which includes 8 districts with indicators of 17% seeding. More than 20% have Nurlatsky, Aksubayevsky and Cheremshansky areas.

The pre-Volga zone sowed 15%. Higher rates in this zone in Buinsky, Apastovsky, Tetyushsky and Drozhzhanovsky districts - about 20% each.

On the Predkamsky zone - Laishevsky, Mamadyshsky, Vysokogorsky and Elabuzhsky districts started sowing.

“Last year, up to 120 thousand hectares were sown as much as possible per day. We will strive for this, the minister specified. “Every day after planting is a loss of one centner of potential yield.”

Marat Akhmetov reported that the following videoconferences will focus on the issue of labor productivity in the districts and specific agricultural entities.
