The Ministry organized a press tour to the fish complex "Biosphere-Fish"

4 April 2019, Thursday

On April 4, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a press tour to the Biosphere-Fish fish farm. The event was attended by students of 1-4 courses of the Higher School of Journalism and Media Communications of the Kazan Federal University and experienced journalists working in newspapers, on radio and television.

As part of the press tour the guys visited the Laishevsky district 25 km from Kazan, where a project to raise sterlet fry is being implemented . The main fish breeder of the enterprise, Jorge Filomeno, met the guests and conducted a tour of the complex. Students, along with journalists, were able to see rare albinos and hybrids bred at the farm, got acquainted with the technology of the full cycle of fish reproduction, and also inspected production and winter workshops.

It should be noted that the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan is a rather interesting field for journalists and it has its own specifics. Also, future experts have studied in practice how to prepare articles, stories and reports, organize press approaches and interviews. Experienced colleagues from newspapers, radio and television showed by example how they prepare materials and subjects in the field of agriculture. They told the students about the specifics of the work of the press service, and also invited those wishing to attend the summer press service of the Ministry.

For reference:

The project “Biosphere-fish” was launched with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. To reimburse part of the cost of acquiring fish planting material and specialized equipment in the amount of 40 percent of the purchase price, the company received subsidies in the amount of 730 thousand rubles and 15.1 million rubles, respectively. The complex is 93% equipped with domestic equipment.

Cultivation biotechnology: “Biosphere-Fish” works on the installation with a closed water supply cycle, which allows to receive and maintain a population of young sturgeon fish year-round. The RAS allows one to constantly maintain optimal conditions for the growth, development and maturation of sturgeon, whether juveniles, or broodstock. This is achieved through a multi-stage water treatment system, which ensures the maintenance of water-relevant parameters such as:

    Temperature

    Oxygen content

    CO2 content

    Control of suspended matter

Removal of waste products of fish, such as NO2 and NO3

Removal of potentially hazardous substances from incoming water

Efficient operation of the water treatment system allows maintaining water parameters at a level that meets all fisheries standards, as well as minimizing the company's impact on the environment.

The presence of a specialized wintering shop provides a full preparation for reproduction and the production of mature caviar and healthy fry with long-term health of the herd .

The use of modern high-quality extruded feed allows to maintain healthy fish population and minimize the influx of organic matter into the environment.

Modern methods of in vivo production of caviar make it possible to preserve the life and health of producers, to obtain young from the same fish many times over the entire life cycle.
