The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the current rates of accumulation of mineral fertilizers for this year’s harvest and financial support for the upcoming spring field work at a meeting at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting in the form of videoconferencing was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin.

Marat Akhmetov noted that financial security will determine the fate of the crop, where more than half of the need is covered by borrowed funds. The republic has brought a limit of subsidies for concessional (5%) short-term lending, which allows it to attract over 11 billion rubles of loans. As of today, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has already approved 85 applications for the amount of more than 8.5 billion rubles, which is 90% of the 118 loans worth 9.6 billion rubles.

Before the start of spring field work, grants amounting to 6 billion rubles are being sent from the budget for various items. 2.8 billion rubles have already been brought. However, the Minister noted the lack of active budget spending. So, today, under the achievement of target indicators, documents have been received for 103 million rubles, or 17% of the limit. Less than half - 623 million rubles was used for the purchase of fertilizers of 1.5 billion rubles.

Another important component of a good harvest is the accumulation of mineral fertilizers, said Marat Akhmetov. This year it is planned to accumulate at least 70 kg of active ingredient per hectare of crops for the harvest. To date, 93.5 thousand tons of fertilizers have been accumulated in the republic, or an average of 32.5 kg ai / ha, which is about 46% of the plan.

The biggest number of fertilizers accumulated is in Zainsky (70 kg ai/ ha), Tetyushsky (65 kg ai / ha), Sarmanovsky (60 kg ai/ha), Sabinsky and Atninsky districts (58 kg ai / ha). Over 40 kg AI / ha have accumulated Tukaevsky, Baltasinsky, Kukmorsky, Muslyumovsky and Buinsky districts. At the same time, there are areas that have less than 20 kg ai / ha a month before sowing. These are Agryzsky, Cheremshansky, Apastovsky, Kamsko-Ustyinsky and several other areas.
