Producers of Tatarstan were recommended to post information on the labels of their products in two state languages
This was announced the 14th of March in the Cabinet of Ministers by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev as part of his report on the implementation of the legislation on the state languages of Tatarstan.
It should be noted that in accordance with the law "On Protection of Consumer Rights" information about a product should be presented in Russian, and additionally, at the discretion of the manufacturer (performer, seller), in the state languages of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the native languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation. Therefore, the placing information on packaging, labels, instructions and product labels in the two state languages of the republic is voluntary.
“But still, by preparations for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR and given that we live in Tatarstan, we ask you to carry out this work,” Vasil Shaykhrazeev addressed to the manufacturers of Republic.
