Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Government of the Russian Federation to approve a roadmap for the creation of Russian protected brands of environmentally friendly agricultural products before the 1st of July.
“The Government of the Russian Federation to ensure the approval of a roadmap for the creation of Russian protected brands of environmentally friendly agricultural products, raw materials and food in order to promote them to the domestic and foreign markets, including the establishment of a system of control over compliance with the requirements for the production and circulation of these goods,” says the document published on the Kremlin’s website.
According to the instructions of the head of state, a report on the results of the implementation of such measures must be submitted by the 1st of July 2019, then once every six months.
Earlier, in the message to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Government to create a protected brand of domestic clean "green" products.
According to the forecast of the Union of organic farming, in the future the share of organic products in Russia may increase from 0.1% to 2%. "This will contribute to the growth of consumer confidence in the created single protected brand", - said the news agency.
