25 February 2019, Monday

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic.

As the head of the Ministry of Agriculture noted, during the crucial period of spring field work, according to tradition, there will be announced a safety month. All managers should consider and resolve all issues of labor protection and working conditions with maximum responsibility. In particular, we are talking about the safe operation of self-propelled machines and other types of equipment.

“The safe operation of self-propelled machines is ensured by the timely and high-quality technical inspections,” the minister said. In 2018, for the agricultural sector, 12 thousand units (80%) of self-propelled vehicles were submitted for inspection, 11.5 thousand units (95%) of which received a permission to operate.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, there are more than 11 thousand tractors for the sowing campaign of 2019, but this makes up only 60% of the regulatory need. Therefore, it is important to use the potential of individual owners in the regions, which is about 13,000 tractors, the minister noted, reminding that the use of equipment without technical inspection is prohibited.

“It is necessary to work with private tractors in the sowing campaign, having agreed in advance on the form of payment,” said Marat Akhmetov. In his opinion, such interaction of all services will allow to carry out high-quality field work and to ensure the safe operation of the involved machinery and equipment.

Rustam Minnikhanov noticed that private machinery is a large reserve. “It should be actively involved in field work. It will be an extra income for owners, rental equipment is a good practice. This is better than buying and maintaining the cars ourselves.”
