The vice-premier of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported about labor protection at the agro-industrial complex and supervision of the technical condition of the safe agricultural machinery today on the meeting in the House of Government of Tatarstan.

The meeting in the form of videoconferencing was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin.

The minister said that thanks to the measures taken in recent years Tatarstan has a positive trend in reducing industrial injuries in the agricultural sector. However, fatal accidents still occur. In 2018, there were two such cases.

In total, last year 53 occupational diseases were registered in the agriculture of the republic, 20 of which belong to machine milking operators.

Costs of agricultural enterprises for labor protection measures in 2018 amounted to 358 million rubles. On average, one employee accounts for up to 5 thousand rubles. Marat Akhmetov reminded that enterprises can return 20% of these costs from the Social Insurance Fund.

As for the work of engineering and technical personnel in the agro-industrial complex, it is inextricably linked with the State Technical Supervision Service, whose territorial bodies work in all municipal districts. According to the head of the Ministry, the average load on the engineer-inspector is about 1,780 units of equipment, with a standard within 800-1000 cars.

Today 85 thousand units of self-propelled machines and trailers are registered in the republic, 22% of which are assigned to agricultural producers - about 19 thousand units. Almost half of all equipment, 38 thousand units, is in the possession of individual owners.

“The safe operation of self-propelled machines is ensured by timely and high-quality technical inspections. In 2018 12 thousand units of machines were submitted for inspection, which is 80% of the total. 11.5 thousand of them received an operation permit”, the minister said.

He added that there are 11 thousand tractors available for work in the nearest sowing campaign, but this covers only 60% of the regulatory need. At the same time, the individual owners have about 13 thousand tractors, as well as more than 500 grain harvesters and about 100 forage harvesters.

“Technique, which is in private ownership is a large reserve. It should be actively involved in field work. It will be an extra income for owners, rental equipment is a good practice. This is better than buying and maintaining the cars ourselves”.
