The delegation from Tatarstan participates in the Congress of the APFAC

On February 20, a plenary session of the XXX Congress of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia (APFAC) was held in Moscow. The delegation of Tatarstan  is represented by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Rishat Khabipov, the chairman of the Association of Farmers and Peasants of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamiyar Baitemirov and 26 farmers from the republic.

During the event, the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, on behalf of President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, congratulated the participants and delegates of the Congress on the 30th anniversary of the farming movement in our country.

As Vladimir Putin noted in his message to the participants of the Congress, “farming strengthens its role in realizing the potential of the domestic agro-industrial complex, improving the quality of life in the countryside, and directly affects the development of the regions and the national economy in general”.

The head of state also mentioned that the state will significantly increase support for farming, promote its competitiveness, promote the most effective forms of agricultural cooperation.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Russian Government said: “We wanted to see Russia again as a powerful agrarian power and therefore we began to provide agriculture with unprecedented support.” Dmitry Medvedev noted that the industry is showing high growth rates, ensuring the country's food security and supplying its products abroad. This success is a considerable merit of farms and agricultural cooperatives.
