In 2019, the total amount of funds provided by Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for the development of small business forms will be 15.3 billion rubles, which is almost 40% more than last year (11 billion rubles).
According to preliminary information from the regions, about 3,200 peasant farms and agricultural cooperatives will receive the state support funds this year.
In addition, according to the federal project “Creating a system of farmers support and rural cooperation development”, an additional sum of 5.3 billion rubles will be allocated to the regions for the development of peasant farms and agricultural cooperatives. It will make it possible to create 18,200 new SMEs this year.
Last year, state support was provided to 2353 novice farmers, 716 family livestock farms and 214 agricultural cooperatives. At the same time, compared to 2017, the average grant size has increased. So, for beginning farmers, it raised to 2.06 million rubles (in 2017 - 1.77 million rubles), for family livestock farms - 7.75 million rubles (in 2017 - 6.11 million rubles), and for agricultural consumer cooperatives - 15.51 million rubles (in 2017 - 10.75 million rubles).
Creating conditions for the active development of small and medium-sized businesses in the countryside is one of the priorities of state policy in the field of agriculture.
