Livestock wintering was discussed in Arsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan

A session devoted to livestock wintering, milk production and calf breeding took place in OOO “Ashyt” of Arsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The head of Arsk municipal district Ilshat Nuriev, Chief of the regional Directorate foe agriculture and food Renat Gatiyatov, directors and specialists of agricultural enterprises participated in it.

Within the session, its participants visited cattle breeding farms in the village of Ashyt where they examined the keeping and feeding conditions for cows, discussed the issues concerning breeding of young livestock, veterinary and sanitary activities, prevention of cattle diseases and calf dehorning.

In OOO “Ashyt” the technology of feeding and keeping of livestock is strictly followed. There is necessary top quality feed in the diet of cattle. Every Friday is a sanitary day in the enterprise.

“OOO “Ashyt” shows good records in cattle breeding. Milk is a constant source of finance for every enterprise”, - noted the head of the district Ilshat Nuriev.

It was noted that the productivity increase of a milking herd depends on the right feeding and keeping of cows, labour organization. With the aim to preserve the calf population, the specialists of the enterprise were recommended to organize a day-and-night duty in maternity barns of animal breeding farms.
