Today the cattle breeding records for 10 months of 2017 were discussed at a session in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. Specialists of the Ministry, “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Cattle Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, cattle breeding consultants and chiefs of selective-brood services of regional agricultural directorates took part in the session.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khaziop gave the opening speech. “It is worth being engaged in dairy cattle breeding, - he said. – As it was sais at IV International agro-industrial dairy forum, next year subsidies will also be allocated from the federal budget. Cost prices will remain on the pervious year level”.
After that, Director Deputy of the Department of Cattle Breeding Development in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Gelyus Bayazitov gave a speech. He reported on the cattle breeding records of Belgorod Region. Gelyus Bayazitov said that there were 160,000 livestock animals in the region, including 66,000 milk cows, and 75 farm households, 20 of which are pedigree farm households. The average milk yield per cow was 6,500 kg for 2016. “Last year 500,000 tons of milk were produces in the region, by 2020 it is planned to increase the figure up to 1 million tons. To reach such results a number of measures is taken in the region: construction and modernization of cattle breeding complexes, provision of grants for peasant farm enterprises, development of the unified base of pedigree animals, milk laboratories and fetal transplantation. The latter will enable to increase the genetic potential of a milk herd by transplantation of embryos”, - he noted.
After that, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov reported on the cattle breeding records for 10 months of 2017. “The year is finishing. On the whole the records are good, but speaking about meat production – we will not reach the set targets”, - he said.
As of November 1, 2017, the livestock population in Tatarstan agricultural enterprises had reached 735,100 animals, including 242,700 cows, 1,073,200 tons of milk had been produced (105%), 315,000 tons of meat and poultry had been produced (102%).
The livestock population has increased compared with the pervious year level in Zainsk, Sarmanovo, Novosheshminsk, Zelenodolsk, Baltasi, Kukmor, Saby and some other districts of the Republic. The biggest gain in milk production was made in Zainsk, Atnya, Kukmor, Aznakaevo, Rybnaya Sloboda, Sarmanovo and Tyulyachi municipal districts. “In Kamskoe Ustye, Arsk, Tukaevo and Menzelinsk municipal districts milk production has decreased”, - added Nazip Khazipov.
At the end of the session, Deputy Minister informed the participants about competition for the grant – “The best AIC specialist of the Republic of Tatarstan”, and the forthcoming International seminar – “A healthy horse”, which takes place in Kazan State Academy for Veterinary Medicine named after N.E.Bauman and the equestrian complex “Kazan” on November 23-24, 2017.
