Over 4.6 million of grain milled in Tatarstan

As of September 18, 2017, 4,668,200 tons of grain have been milled in Tatarstan at the average crop yield of 34.1 dt/ha. 1,369,500 ha of fields with grains and pulses have been thrashed (93% of the plan).

Currently, harvesting of spring wheat, buckwheat, sugar beetroot and potato keep going on in Tatarstan farm households. 1,074 tons of spring wheat have been milled from 337,400 ha (82%), 46,100 tons of buckwheat have been milled from 32,800 ha (61%). 642,400 tons of sugar beetroot have been harvested from 17,400 ha (24%), 36,800 tons of potato have been harvested from 1,700 ha (28%).

Farmers in Atnya and Saby municipal districts have finished harvesting of grains and pulses (the grain yield is 62,300 tons and 86,100 tons correspondingly). Less than 3% of fields are left to be cleared in Sarmanovo, Nurlat, Tetyushi, Spasskoe, Rybnaya Sloboda municipal districts, in Alekseevskoe, Aksubaevo and Zainsk municipal districts 2% of fields are left to be cleared, in Chistopol – 1%.

At the same time, sowing of winter crops keeps going on in Tatarstan municipal districts. As of today, 490,400 ha of fields have been sown with winter crops (90%). Basic soil preparation has been carried out on 710,600 ha of fields (35%).
