Marat Akhmetov: weather conditions let us finish forage preservation from the 1st grass cut in the nearest future

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov gave a report on forage preservation in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

The videoconferencing session with all municipal districts of the republic was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Prime Mnister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin also took part in the session.

Marat Akhmetov informed that 590,000 tons of forage had been made in the republic, including 125,000 tons of hay and 1,700 tons of haylage. On average, 10.1 dt of forage had been preserved per cattle animal.

“Within the latest 4 days truly summer weather has settles at last in the republic. It let farm households intensify forage preservation, - said Marat Akhmetov. – The present weather conditions are favourable for making of 150,000 tons of haylage daily, which will let us finish forage preservation from the 1stgrass cut in the nearest future”.

The leading districts in forage preservation are Sarmanovo (18.8 dt), Nurlat (12.1 dt), as well as Apastovo, Aktanysh, etc.

Marat Akhmetov emphasized that it was necessary to preserve not less than 27 dt of forage per animal for productive wintering. He noted that only conserving agents could provide haylage ripening at excessive moisture of herbage.

He named OOO “Tukaevskiy” of Atnya municipal district as an example of work activity management and usage of technologies.

Marat Akhmetov asked directors of agricultural enterprises to make the best use of foraging machinery, strengthen control over the quality of forage, organize 24-hour duty of specialists on haylage making and choose measures of financial incentives taking into account the weather conditions.

Beside this, within the framework of the session Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on the results of the agro-industrial forum called “All-Russia Day of Field – 2017” which took place in Kazan on July 5-7. 350 companies from 41 regions of the country, as well as from Belorussia and Germany, presented innovative agro-technological inventions at the forum. 21 foreign countries presented their products. According to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, this year forum became the biggest exhibition within the latest years – modern technologies in agricultural production, modern domestic and foreign specialized machinery and equipment, innovative methods of land management and animal breeding were showcased there. 34 large companies and 29 science and research institutions presented their achievements in cultivation technologies of different agricultural crops, as well as new varieties, hybrids and plant protection products.

In total about 30,000 people visited the agro-industrial forum-exhibition “All-Russia Day of Field – 2017”.
