“There is such a term in agronomy as soil exhaustion. Soil exhaustion happens when the soil structure contains a big share of spiked cereals and sunflower. The solution is simple – it is necessary to enrich soil with organic matter, and we have been working this way for the recent years”, - said Marat Akhmeov.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that sowing of sinapis, oil radish and melilotus could provide soil with components necessary for the good quality of plant living. “We should plan to sow not less than 20% of fields with these crops. It will give us 600,000 fertilized fields in Tatarstan every year”, - concluded Marat Akhmetov.
