Spring sowing has been carried out on 237,200 ha in Tatarstan

As of May 3, 2017, spring sowing has been carried out on 237,200 ha of fields in Tatarstan, which is 13% of the plan.

The leading municipal districts in spring sowing are Zainsk (26,500 ha or 57% of the plan), Sarmanovo (22,700 ha or 44%), Buinsk (12,100 ha or 20%), Aktanysh (11,700 ha or 21%), Tetyushi (11,400 ha or 26%), and Mamadysh (11,100 ha or 20%).

Spring grains are sown on 178,300 ha of fields (13%), where 18,800 ha (5%) have been sown with spring wheat, 124,400 ha (33%) – with barley, 19,300 ha (31%) – with oat, 10,700 ha (16%) – with pea, and 2,100 ha (2%) – with maize.

22,500 ha (30%) have been sown with sugar beetroot, 1,800 ha (2%) – with rape, 13,400 ha (9%) – with sunflower for oil seeds.
