A videoconferencing session on spring field work with the participation of the regions of Volga Federal District took place today. The session was held by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Djambulat Khautov.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Deputies Minister Nikolai Titov, Ildus Gabdralhmanov, Talgat Tagirzyanov, Marat Zyabbarov, specialists of trhe Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc. took part I the session.
Director at the Department of Crop Husbandry, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Crop Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Petr Chekmarev noted the importance of Volga Federal District for the economics of the country, where agricultural products amounted to over 700 billion rubles are manufactured every year. “This year winter crop top-dressing is carried out more intensively than it was last year, - reported Petr Chekmarev. – Spring sowing has started in Mordovia, Saratov and Nizhniy Novgorod Regions”.
В этом году в России планируется увеличить посевную площадь на 328 тыс. га. Поставлена задача собрать не менее 110 млн. тонн зерна.
This year, it is planned to expand the sowing area by 328,000 ha. The task is to receive not less than 110 million tons of grain.

Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported that in a number of Tatarstan districts farmers had started top-dressing of winter crops and perennial grasses. According to the minister’s words, this year the sowing area is 2.9 million ha, spring sowing will be carried out on 1.8 million ha of lands. Winter crops occupy 572,600 ha of lands.
“With the need of 345,000 tons of seeds of spring grain crops, there are 393,000 tons of seeds in storehouses of Tatarstan agricultural enterprises, - noted Marat Akhmetov. – As of today, 180,000 tons of active mineral fertilizers have been preserved, which is 62.7 kg/ha. Purchasing of fertilizers keeps going on”.
As the minister informed, over 11,000 tractors, 6,000 grain seeding machines and cultivators, over 600 wide-coverage sowing machines would be exploited during the sowing campaign.
Sowing campaign 2017 in Tatarstan is estimated at 20 billion rubles (8 billion rubles are the money of enterprises, 4 billion rubles – the state support, 8 billion rubles – loans).
Owing to the program of concessional lending for AIC enterprises and institutions, the Ministry of the Russian Federation accepted 93 applications for the total amount of 7.5 billion rubles, including 5.4 billion rubles for spring sowing.
Marat Akhmetov also spoke about the preparation for the exhibition “All-Russia Day of Field 2017”.
