Records on animal breeding for the 1st quarter of 2017

Records on animal breeding for 3 months of 2017 were examined in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan today. The session was chaired by Deputy Animal Breeding Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov.

Chiefs and consultants on animal breeding from local directorates for agriculture, specialists of “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Animal Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, directors and specialists from over 50 Tatarstan enterprises with low productivity and 4 large investment companies took part in the session.

At the beginning of the session, Nazip Khazipov informed the participants about the forthcoming zonal sessions in Almetyevsk and Tukaevo municipal districts, as well as in Kazan. Chiefs of local directorates for agriculture and directors of agricultural institutions with poor records on animal breeding will give their reports there.

After that the head of the Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Animal Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan” Rishat Zaripov reported on the records of pedigree animal breeding. He spoke on the state of livestock cattle reproduction in different districts and regions of the republic, as well as about artificial insemination of livestock cattle.

Deputy Minister Nazip Khazipov gave a report on the records of cattle breeding for the 1st quarter of 2017. He said that as of April 1 2017, the livestock cattle population in agricultural institutions and enterprises of the republic was 748,400 animals, including 248,900 cows. 299,600 tons of milk (104%), 93,700 tons of meat and poultry (101%), including 24,500 tons of livestock cattle meat (102%) had been produced.

Deputy Minister reminded that in 2017 the sphere of cattle breeding should have shown the increase of 5% in comparison with the previous year. The aim in milk production was achieved by Atnya, Kukmor, Zainsk, Almetyevsk, Aksubaevo, Nurlat, Verkhniy Uslon, Rybnaya Sloboda, Mamadysh and Nizhniy Kamsk municipal districts. Poor records were in Kamskoye Ustye, Apastovo, Arsk, Kaibitsy, Menzelinsk, Muslyumovo, Tukaevo and Cheremshan municipal districts.

A decrease in cattle population was in Chistopol, Cheremshan, Tukaevo, Buinsk, Alekseevskoe, Bavly, Bugulma, Arsk, Kamskoe Ustye, Apastovo and Dorzhzhanoe municipal districts.

Nazip Khazipov paid special attention to the necessity of introduction of multi-component seedlings of fodder crops and prevention measures of cattle mastitis and limbs diseases.

At the end of the session Nazip Khazipov asked directored of agricultural institutions and enterprises not to ignore the issues of cattle breeding, feeding technologies and livestock keeping during the sowing campaign.
