Rustam Minnikhanov met participants of VI All-Russia gathering of entrepreneurs of Tatar villages

In spite of some difficulties in economy, business in Tatar village turned out to be strong and now it continues developing. It was stated today by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the plenary session of VI All-Russia gathering of entrepreneurs of Tatar villages.

The event took place in STEC “Korston”. The following officials participated in it: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Executive Committee Chairman at “All-Russia Tatar Congress” Rinat Zakirov, Chairman at the Council of municipal formations of the Republic of Tatarstan Minsagit Shakirov, over 700 representatives of small-size business, farm enterprises and private farm households from 41 Russian regions, as well as from China and Kazakhstan.

Before the session started, Rustam Minnikhanov had examined an exhibition fair organized by Tatar agicultural producers. Different types of halal productes were presented there, as well as meat and milk products, arts and crafts.

In their speeches entrepreneurs touched upon a number of hot issues: administrative burdens, difficulties in distribution of ready products, search for new market outlets, participation in programs of the state support of village business development, migration of people from villages to big cities, etc. Some participants spoke on the history of their enterprises.

Greeting the forum participants, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the basis of the Tatar culture and traditions was the village. Without support of rural areas it is impossible to save the mother tongue, the religion and customs, which are the basis of national identity.

“Currently, there are dozens of socially oriented programs in Tatarstan, many of which are aimed at the support of villages and creation of worthy living standard for villagers. Every year we enlarge the scope of such programs, break new grounds, especially in the sphere of entrepreneurship. Today the overhaul of cow houses and vegetable storehouses is carried out in the republic, silage-haylage trenches are being constructed, there are programs to support family farms and private subsidiary plots”, - said Rustam Minnikhanov.

To keep people in the village, roads are constructed, gas and water supply are laid, cultural sites and health care facilities are built. According to the words of Rustam Minnikhanov, this year module shops are going to be opened in 56 settlements of the republic with the population of over 100,000 people. Mobile stalls keep working in small villages with the aim to provide people with essential goods.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized that the main factor for the rural area was the presence of work places for people. A great contribution to the solution of the problem is made by entrepreneurs. They create work places in their factories and agricultural enterprises, and provide opportunities for employment.

“This forum is a great place and we are going to develop it further. If we do not communicate, cooperate, exchange experience, we can lose touch with each other and lose our unity. Tatarstan, in its turn, will support you, take diligent efforts in solving of these or those problems. Together we can reach much more results”, - summed up the president.

At the end of the event, Rustam Minnikhanov handed out the state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Letters of Gratitude to the best Tatar businessmen.
