Cooperation between Tatarstan and Israel was discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov met the delegation form Israel headed by International Trade Director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Development of Israel Gilyad Elizar. The meeting took place in the Palace of Agronomists.

The following officials also participated in the meeting: deputy ministers Nazip Khazipov, Marat Zyabbarov, head of Chief Diretorate for Veterinary of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khisamutdinov, heads of municipal districts of the republic, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Development of Israel – Chief of the Animal Breeding and Experience Exchange Department Gabi Adin and Project Director Daniel Verner.

At the beginning of the meeting Marat Akhmetov introduced Tatarstan AIC to the guests. “We have a number of state support programs for dairy cattle breeding in Tatarstan. Following the previous year records, Tatarstan took the 1st place in milk production among Russian regions, - noted the minister. – We are willing to keep this status and reach even better results”.

According to his words, 3,300 tons of milk are produced daily in Tatarstan. Dairy cattle is kept both in large agro holding companies and on family farms and private subsidiary plots.

Gilyad Eliraz, in his turn, said that Israel had reach success in milk production – proper cattle feeding, stock breeding and distribution of milk products. Following the results of the meeting in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation certain forms of cooperation were outlined. Namely, the Israel party is going to implement a project on construction of milk complexes and personnel training on cattle keeping and feeding technologies in Russia.

At the end of the meeting, there was discussion and opinion exchange on further cooperation between the parties.
