Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on cattle animal records of Tatarstan agricultural enterprises for the 1st 2 months of 2017
Today, in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the animal breeding records of Tatarstan agricultural enterprises for the 1st 2 months of 2017.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a video-conferencing session with all municipal districts of the republic.
According to the data of Marat Akhmetov, as of March 1 2017, there are 61,300 tons of cattle and poultry in the republic (101%), 192,400 tons of milk and 145 million eggs have been produced (103.3% and 102% correspondingly).
The cattle population in Tatarstan is 745,000 animals including 249,000 dairy animals.
The pig population is 418,000 animals, the sheep and goat population is 60,900 animals, the poultry population is 15.7 million.
According to Marat Akhmetov’s words, the greatest increase of livestock is in Kukmor municipal district (over 1,200 animals). In Buinsk, Baltasi, Atnya, Alkeevo and Kamskoe Ustye municipal districts the results are also good, reported the minister.
Decrease in livestock population is in 13 municipal districts, among which Tukaevo, Pestretsy, Bavly, Nizhniy Kamsk, Laishevo, Verkhniy Uslon municipal districts.
“Dairy cattle breeding cannot stand separately from livestock population”, - says Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Marat Akhmetov also presented the data concerning milk production.
He noted that daily in agricultural enterprises of the republic, over 3,300 tons of milk were produced (105.4%), and almost 3,200 tons of milk were distributed.
“Each district and each enterprise have their own weaknesses in the sphere. I strongly recommend to put the most efforts and take the advantage of the situation on the dairy market. There are quite a lot of resources to continue boosting milk production in municipal districts”, - said Marat Akhmetov.
In total, 16,000 tons of beef have been produced in Tatarstan agricultural enterprises. The leading districts in beef production are Almetyevsk, Mamadysh, Nurlat, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Kukmor, Atnya, Baltasi, Aznakaevo, and Aktanysh.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked to pay special attention to the sphere of animal breeding. Dairy cattle breeding and milk production bring money to agricultural producers, so we need people who are willing and able to work, says the President.
