Traditional agricultural fairs will begin in the Republic of Tatarstan on March 14. They will be held at 14 sites in Kazan, two in Naberezhnye Chelny, two in the Zelenodolsk Municipal District, two in Nizhnekamsk, and one in Kamskiye Polyany, Nizhnekamsk District.

Today, a joint meeting of the Committee on Ecology, Nature Management, Agro-Industrial and Food Policy and the Committee's Expert Council was held in the State Council. At the meeting, parliamentarians discussed the implementation of the state program for agricultural development and regulation of agricultural produce, raw materials, and food markets, as well as a draft law amending certain articles of the Republic's Environmental Code.

A delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan, led by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, is on a working visit to the People's Republic of China.

Today, the Ministry held a meeting of the national headquarters for preventing the entry and spread of contagious, including highly dangerous, animal diseases into the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by Lenar Garipov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
