Tatarstan agricultural enterprises produced 190,300 tons of poultry an 838.4 million eggs in 2016

Tatarstan is a leader in development of industrial poultry breeding among the regions of Volga Federal District and is in top 10 substituent entities of the Russian Federation manufacturing 4% of the gross poultry production. Within 2016, agricultural enterprises of the republic produced 190,300 tons of poultry (107% compared with the level of 2015) and 838.4 million eggs.

The main gain in poultry production was provided by OOO “Chelny Broiler” (120,300 tons) and OOO “Ak Bars” (55,400 tons). The following enterprises also contributed to poultry production: OOO AF “Zalesnyi” in Zelenodolsk municipal district (3,100 tons of turkey meat), OOO FE “Ramaevskoe” in Laishevo municipal district (1,300 tons of duck meat), OOO AE “Kostchakovskiy” in Pestretsy municipal district (400 tons of goose and duck meat).

OOO “Laishevskiy” Poultry breeding complex” has increased egg production up to 128.7 million eggs. 2 production sites with the capacity of 150,000 poultry heads has been put into exploitation in OOO “Plemproduct”. 40 million of hatching eggs are expected to be produced here in 2017. In total 10 sites for production of 65 million hatching eggs “Kobb 500” are planned to be constructed.

Productivity increase is provided owing to reconstruction and modernization of the existing poultry breeding venues, introduction of innovative feeding technologies and efficient use of resources.
