A plenary session of the international science-to-research conference called “Sustainable development of agriculture under global risks” took place in Kazan state Agrarian University on December 7, 2016.
The following officials took part in the event: Igor Stcherbak – Principal Advisor of the liaison office at the Food and Agriculture Organization (his report is called “Sustainable development of food production – the role and tasks of the Food and Agriculture Organization”), Takhir Khadeev – Chairman at the Ecology, Management of Natural Resourses, Agriculture and Food Policy Committee in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan (“Regulatory support and state control over sustainable development of rural territories”), Dzhaudat Fairakhmanov – Rector at Kazan State Agrarian University (“Modern agriculture and its problems”), Nikolai Dubenok – head of the department of forestry and landscape amelioration at Russian State Agrarian Universiy – Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A.Timiryazev (“Development of amelioration system – the key to sustainable agricultural production under agro-climatic conditions”, Radik Safin – head of the department of general farming, crop protection and selection at Kazan State Agrarian University (“Tatarstan AIC. Ways of adaptation to global agro-climatic risks”).
Yesterday, on December 8 2016, an international economic symposium was held within the framework of the conference. It was devoted to the issues of sustainable development of agriculture under global risks.
The issues of crop husbandry, adaptation of some elements of the arable farming system to the global climatic changes, amelioration development, etc. were discussed at the symposium.
