Records for 10 months of 2016 in animal breeding discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Records for 10 months of 2016 in animal breeding were discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the republic of Tatarstan yesterday on November 9 1016. The session was chaired by Deputy Animal Breeding Minister of Agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov.

Animal breeding consultants, chiefs at selective-brood offices of local agricultural directorates, specialists of “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Livestock Breeding in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, directors of pedigree breeding enterprises took part in the session.

Chief at the sales Department of “Alliance-life” insurance company Elena Meshankina gave a speech at the beginning of the session. She reported on life insurance for directors and specialist in AIC sphere.

After that the head of the department of livestock feeding in the FSBEI “Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N.E. Bauman” Firaya Akhmetzyanova reported on “Improvement in cow feeding”. He introduced research and development results in livestock feeding with protein-vitamin-mineral concentrates and high-protein concentrates “Proveteks” in Tatarstan agricultural enterprises. She also informed about the launch of an enterprise dealing with production of concentrate feedstuff “Agrokorm” together with the FSBEI “Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N.E.Bauman”.

Deputy Minister Nazip Khazipov gave a keynote address. According to his words, the livestock breeding records are good. The cattle population in Tatarstan is 746,700 animals, where 248,000 animals are cows. 1,020,900 tons of milk were produced (103% compared with the previous year level), 308,900 tons of meat and poultry (104%), including 78,400 tons from cattle (102%), the calf crop was 232,800 animals.

According to the words of the minister, the cattle population has increased in Kukmor, Zelenodolsk, Baltasi, Zainsk, Aktanysh, Menzelinsk, Mendeleevsk, Atnya, Mamadysh municipal districts in comparison with the previous year level. The cattle population has decreased in Alkeevo, Chistopol, Alekseevskoye, Buinsk, Elabuga, Bavly, Pestretsy, Cheremshan, Vysokaya Gora, Novosheshminsk municipal districts.

The biggest increase in milk yield is in Kukmor, Atnya, Saby, Baltasi, Aksubaevo, Aznakaevo, Drozhzhanoe municipal districts. The poor records are in Almetyevsk, Kamskoe Ustye, Mamadysh, Chistopol, Tyulyachi, Buinsk, Novosheshminsk municipal districts.

Nazip Khazipov spoke in detail about productivity of cows and cost prices on raw milk. “The average cost price on raw milk is 25.58 rubles per kilo today, but the average sale price for 10 months of 2016 is 18-23 rubles per kilo in different Tatarstan districts”, emphasized Deputy Minister.

Then animal breeding consultants of directorates for agriculture and food gave reports on the analysis results of the cattle breeding state in agricultural enterprises of Aznkaevo, Sarmanovo, Nurlat, Pestretsy and Bavly municipal districts.

Within the framework of the session Nazip Khazipov encharged with a number of tasks, reports on which would be discussed on the forthcoming session on the records for 11 months of 2016.

Summing up, Nazip Khazipov paid attention to the issues of cattle feeding, diet, highly nutritious forage and asked specialists of local directorates to examine and use the resources of economic entities in districts and to reach all the tasks.
