A session on agricultural variety regionalization took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan yesterday on November 8 2016. The session was chaired by Deputy Arable Farming Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.
The following officials participated in the session: Chief at the branch of the FSBI “Gossortokomossiya” (“The state variety commission”) in the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Turnin, Director at the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture” Marsel Tagirov, Director Deputy at the branch of the FSBI “Rosselkhozcenter” (“Russian agricultural center”) in the Republic of Tatarstan Rafis Khabibullin, Director General at OOO “Raps” Saidash Israfilov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, scientists and selectionists of the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture”, heads of state variety test plots, specialists of agricultural holding companies and agricultural institutions.
Chief at the branch of the FSBI “Gossortokomissiya” in the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Turnin reported on testing of agricultural crop varieties. He introduced the testing results of new and promising varieties of winter rye, winter and spring wheat, oat, pea and other agricultural crops.
Sergey Turnin said that over 300 varieties of 27 agricultural crops are tested every year in Tatarstan.
Following the results of the session, the commission suggested regionalizing the following varieties of crops in 2017: winter wheat “Darina”, spring wheat “Ulyanovskaya 105”, “Tulaikovskaya Nadezhda”, “Chelyaba Stepnaya”, barley “Kamashevskiy”, oat “Vsadnik”, buckwheat “Yashlek”, soya “Milyausha”, “Skulptor”, sugar beetroot “СХСВ 015-15”.
