Over 2.9 million tons of grains have been milled in Tatarstan

As of September 4, 2015, 2,931,300 tons of grains have been milled from 1,377,100 ha. The average crop yield is 21.3 dt/ha. By the current day there are 193,900 ha (12%) with grains and pulses left to be harvested.

Some municipal districts of the republic are finishing harvesting. Thus, in Apastovo municipal district there are only 0.2 thousand ha left to be cleared, in Alkeevo municipal district – 0.4 thousand ha.

352,100 ha with spring wheat, 392,500 ha with barley have been thrashed. 729,600 tons of spring wheat, 870,900 tons of barley have been milled.

166,900 tons of sugar beet have been cut out of 5,100 ha. The average crop yield is 329 dt/ha. 8,300 tons of potato have been cut out of 0.3 thousand ha. The average crop yield is 257 dt/ha.

Simultaneously with harvesting Tatarstan farmers are sowing winter crops and preserving forage. By September 4 2015, 502,100 ha have been sowed with winter crops, 1,193,300 tons of forage have been preserved.
