Within 10 years domestic food products are to substitute 100% of import food commodities on the Russian market

Within 1o years Russian food products are expected to substitute import food commodities in domestic supermarkets, as the Russian minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev stated.

He also stated that the main task for Russian agriculture now was quick import substitution. Within 10 years domestic food products are to substitute 100% of the import ones on the Russian market.

The minister noted that the Russian authorities support agriculture a lot (within 5 years agriculture will get about 2 trillion rubles according to the state program), and owing the ban to bring a number of products from EU countries and the USA there is a stable increase in agriculture production in Russia.
