Today, a republican alignment meeting took place in the SBI “Beekeeping Directorate” with the participation of specialists from the beekeeping department, beekeeping inspectors from municipal districts, scientists of the FSBI HEI “Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N.E.Bauman” and research assistants of republican veterinary laboratories.
Director General of the SBI “Beekeeping Directorate” Rashit Safiullin gave a report. He spoke about prospects of beekeeping development in the republic within the framework of the regional program “Beekeeping development in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2011-2020”.
According to the speaker, the republic has favourable natural and economic conditions for beekeeping development, has sufficient food supplies, and is a region with fast developing beekeeping. Tatarstan takes the 2nd place among constituent entities of the Russian Federation speaking about the number of honey bee families.
The SBI “Beekeeping Directorate” is introducing advanced technologies on the complex usage of honey bee families. Except traditional products, such as honey and wax, the republic produces honey bee families in bags, queen bees, pollen, beebread, bee-glue.
Deputy Director General of the SBI “Beekeeping Directorate” Farit Valiullin reported on the hibernation of honey bee families.
First Deputy Director General of the SBI “Beekeeping Directorate” Rinat Nabiullin reported on the beekeeping draft law of the Russian Federation, he also touched upon the issues of prophylaxis and treatment of bee diseases.
Reader in Biology and Ecology of Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named фауек N.E.Bauman, Cand. Sc. (Biology) Alexey Munkovreported on modern trends of selective breeding in beekeeping.
Head of the department of parasitology, bee and fish diseases of the SBI “Republican Veterinary Laboratory”of the Republic of Tatarstan Ludmila Zubkova, and the expert officer of the innovative laboratory Larisa Belyaeva, reported on the rules of selection and transportation of pathologic stuff for laboratory diagnostics of bee diseases.
