Specialists and farmers discussed the ways to improve efficiency in potato farming and vegeculture at import substitution conditions

The round table discussion on the program “Efficiency improvement in potato farming and vegeculture under the conditions of import substitution” was held in the FSBEI “Tatar Institute of Agro-Business Personnel Development” today.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Rector of the FSBEI “Tatar Institute of Agro-Business Personnel Development” Nikolai Yakushin, Provost for Research Vladimir Fomin, Director of the farm household “Zemlyaki” Vladimir Apakov (Nizhny Kamsk, Tatarstan), farmer Almaz Sabirov (“Kyrlai”, Arsk, Tatarstan), Director of the farm household Ruslan Fatkhutdiniv (Bugulma, Tatarstan), etc. took part in the round table discussion.

The following issues were discussed at the meeting: leasing, subsidizing of potato and vegetable growing farms, building of potato storage houses, watering, provision with planting stock, marketing, and consumer markets.

Participants shared their experience and innovative technologies in potato farming and vegeculture.
