Marat Akhmetov: local directors keep interested in the development of cattle breeding

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the development of Tatarstan animal breeding for 2 months of 2015 at the session in the Tatarstan Government House today.

The videoconferencing session was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with all municipal districts. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov took part in the session.

According to Marat Akhmetov, local directors keep interested in the development of animal breeding. By March 1, 2015, 58,000 tons of cattle and poultry, 176,000 tons of milk (105%) and 146.5 million eggs (119%) were produced in the republic.

The minister said that by March 1, 2015, cattle population in the republic was 748,000, including 247,300 pigs, 54,000 sheep and goats, 13.9 million tons of poultry. He named the districts with the growth of cattle population (Alkeevo, Arsk, Baltasi and some others), as well as the districts with a negative dynamics.
