1.1 million tons of sugar beet for sugar factories of the republic

On November 8 of the current year in the Tatarstan Government House, the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Titov reported that 1.1 million tons of sugar beet had been distributed to sugar factories of the republic.

The videoconferencing was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with all the municipal districts. The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the session.

Nikolai Titov reported that in the republic there are 1,500 ha with sugar beet, 14,400 ha with corn and 32,000 ha with sunflower left for harvesting.

He also presented the data on agricultural production for 10 months of 2014. For this period 953,300 tons of milk (105% of the previous year), 661,300,000 eggs (103% of the previous year) and 285,000 tons of cattle and poultry have been produced (100% of the previous year).

Nikolai Titov spoke in details on milk production in October in different municipal districts, listed companies-investors and presented some data on high prices for milk in the Volga Region Federal District.
