100 million tons of grain have been milled

By October 6, 2014 according to the recent data of AIC administrative bodies of the Russian Federation constituent entities 40.3 million ha with grains and pulses were thrashed, which is 89.3% of the total harvesting area (last year – 37 million ha).

100.5 million tons of crops were milled (last year – 81.9 million tons), the average crop yield is 24.9 dt/ha (last year – 22.1 dt/ha).

22.2 million ha with winter and spring wheat were thrashed on the territory of Russia, which is 90.2% of the total harvesting area (last year – 21.1 million ha). 59.3 million tons were milled (last year – 50.2 million tons), the average crop yield is 26.7 dt/ha (last year – 23.8 dt/ha).

8.7 million ha with winter and spring barley were thrashed, which is 95.4% of the total harvesting area (last year – 7.6 million ha). 20.6 million tons were milled (last year – 15.3 million tons), the average crop yield is 23.7 dt/ha (last year – 20.2 dt/ha).

1.3 million ha with corn were thrashed, which is 47.8% of the total harvesting area (last year – 421,200 ha). 5.8 million tons were milled (last year – 2.2 million tons), the average crop yield is 46.1 dt/ha (last year – 51.6 dt/ha).

115,500 ha with rice were thrashed, which is 58.9% of the total harvesting area (last year – 50,900 ha). 742,500 tons were milled (last year – 276,900 tons), the average crop yield is 64.3 dt/ha (last year – 54.5 dt/ha).

487,800 ha with sugar beet were thrashed, which is 53.6% of the total harvesting area (last year – 381,600 ha). 17.9 million tons were harvested (last year – 15.9 million tons), the average crop yield is 366.5 dt/ha (last year – 415.9 dt/ha).

897,700 ha with winter and spring rape were thrashed, which is 75.4% of the total harvesting area (last year – 792,700 ha). 1.3 million tons were milled (last year – 1 million tons), the average crop yield is 14.7 dt/ha (last year – 13.1 dt/ha).

4 million ha with sunflower were thrashed, which is 58.1% of the total harvesting area (last year – 1.5 million ha). 6 million tons were milled (last year – 3 million tons), the average crop yield is 15.3 dt/ha (last year – 19.6 dt/ha).

938,200 ha with soy bean were thrashed, which is 47.6% of the total harvesting area (last year – 358,900 ha). 1.3 million ton was milled (last year – 575,600 tons), the average crop yield is 13.4 dt/ha (last year – 16 dt/ha).

265,000 ha with potato were harvested on farms and farm households, which is 83.7% of the total harvesting area (last year – 152,600 ha), 5.3 million tons were harvested (last year – 2.7 million tons), the average yield is 200.1 dt/ha (last year – 179.9 dt/ha).

In agricultural enterprises and farm households 115,400 ha with vegetables were harvested, which is 68.5% of the total harvesting area (last year – 90,100 ha), 2.4 million tons were harvested (last year – 1.4 million tons), the average crop yield is 208.5 dt/ha (last year – 152.2 dt/ha).

According to the data given by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian federation, winter crops have been sowed on 12.9 million ha, which is 78.2% of the total area for sowing (last year – 8.7 million ha).
