Russia could break the record of 100 million tons of grains yield

On July 16 the minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Nikolai Fedorov held a videoconferencing session “Preparation to harvesting and harvesting operations”.

According to the recent data of the local administrations of AIC, 5.7 million ha with grains (12.3%) had been thrashed by July 15. 20.1 million tons of grains had been milled.

The crop yield is 35.5 dt/ha, which is 5dt/ha more than the yield last year, said the minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The first region to start harvesting of grains was the Crimea federal district. 87% of area have been thrashed there. The gross yield is more than 1 million tons of grains.

This year Russian has a chance to break the record of 100 million tons of grains yield, emphasized the minister.

Chief of Department of Plant-Growing, Chemicalization and Plant Protection Peter Chermaryev reported on the issues devoted to the preparation to the harvesting and the harvesting campaign itself.

Deputy PM of the Moscow Region Denis Butsaev, as well as directors of AIC administrations of Amur and Saratov Regions, Stavropol and Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Republic of Bashkortostan reported on the process of preparation to the harvesting.

The minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation emphasized that in the nearest future about 17 billion rubles would be allocated for different kinds of state support of farmers.
