Session of the Social Council on Organic Production

Today a session of the Social Council on Ecologically Clean Foodstuff Production was held in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Nikolai Titov participated in it, as well as representatives of ministries, administrations, directors of agrarian higher educational institutions and heads of agricultural enterprises of the republic.

The session started with the opening speech of Valery Gogin, the Chairman of the Social Council on Ecologically Clean Foodstuff Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. Nikolai Titov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, continued the session.

Valery Gogin reported on the tasks and aims of the Social Council. Committees were organized and their chiefs were chosen. After discussion of the main issues the participants of the session set the plan of work of the Social Council for 2014-2015.

The main aims of the Social Council on Ecologically Clean Foodstuff Production are:

- promotion in development and introduction of the necessary standards and technical documentation, which facilitates development of production and distribution of ecologically clean foodstuffs.

- facilitation and participation in organization of organic production.
