Russia placed an embargo on products from a number of countries

Pursuant to Decree of the Russian President №560 dated August 6, 2014 “Special economic measures for safety and security arrangements of the Russian Federation” the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation proposed a draft decree according to which the embargo was placed on import of agricultural production, raw materials and foodstuffs from the countries which had imposed sanctions for Russian citizens and companies.

The Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation №778 dated August 7, 2014 gives sanction to the rage of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs from the USA, countries of EU, Canada, Australia and Norway and bans imports into Russia for a year.
