“Machinery should work effectively so that we could gain good results and high profit”

Today a republican plenary session-workshop was held in Zainsk municipal district. It was devoted to the results of work of Tatarstan AIC in the first half of the year and the forthcoming harvesting campaign. The following officials took part at the session: the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhannov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Government Executive office of the Republic of Tatarstan, Government of the republic, deputies of the Tatarstan State Council, heads of ministries and administrations, directors of local agricultural and food offices, directors of agricultural enterprises, holding companies, farm households, specialists from agricultural sphere, scientists, etc.

Analyzing the results of work of Tatarstan AIC, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that despite a decrease of economic growth rates this year agricultural production increased a little in Tatarstan and expected to be 64 billion rubles according to the results of the first half of the year. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan also noted that the republic produced about a quarter of the AIC total output of the Volga Region Federal District.

The tasks of the main priorities for the republic are the following: to increase the rate of fodder preservation, to develop melioration, to decrease debts of agricultural enterprises, to develop entrepreneurship in agriculture. According to the words of the President, in the first half of the year 800 million rubles were allocated from the local budget for additional support of agricultural producers.

There is a positive dynamics in such spheres as cattle breeding and poultry breeding. 245,000 tons of cattle and poultry had been produced in all kinds of farm households by July 1, which corresponded to the last year level. Milk production had been at the level of 862,000 tons (0.5% increase).

The total revenue of Tatarstan agricultural enterprises for the first half of the year is 30 billion rubles (17% increase), where 10 billion rubles are from milk production (50% increase).

The task for the nearest future is to finish the harvesting of grains in August. Nowadays 3.5 thousand harvester-threshers are available in the republic. On condition of good organization of labour it is possible to harvest 60,000 ha a day.

Closing the plenary session, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan stated that this year it was necessary to preserve at least 300,000 tons of food grain.
