Installation of weather stations according to Roshydromet requirements has begun in Tatarstan
A key stage of the large-scale project "Agrometeomonitoring" is actively unfolding in the Republic of Tatarstan: installation of weather stations that meet the strict standards of Roshydromet has begun in the fields of the region. This guarantees that the recorded parameters - temperature, humidity, wind speed, precipitation and other indicators critical for agriculture - will be recognized as reliable and legitimate.
One of the main problems of farmers when adverse weather conditions and biological threats occur is the lack of indisputable evidence recognized by insurers. Often, certificates from existing weather stations, which are objectively not enough to fully cover the territory, cannot fully confirm the damage, which often leads to refusals to pay.
For the first time in the modern history of Russia, a comprehensive agrometeomonitoring system has been created, developed and implemented in close partnership with Roshydromet. This project is a unique example of effective public-private cooperation aimed at solving fundamental problems of the agricultural sector.
The new network of weather stations will provide full coverage of the territory of Tatarstan. The occurrence of a dangerous phenomenon will be automatically and accurately recorded by the nearest station, and the electronic protocol it generates will become a legally significant document for settling losses.
In addition to identifying dangerous natural phenomena, the Agrometeomonitoring system will provide farmers with real-time access to accurate weather data and a forecast of the development of diseases and pests depending on the phenological phase of plants. This will allow optimal planning of sowing, crop treatment and harvesting, minimizing the risks of untimely work and increasing the profitability of production.
This project confirms the effectiveness of modern technologies in the development of the agricultural sector, which corresponds to the goals and objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State".
