Marat Zyabbarov summed up the results of the 2024 agricultural season
Today, as part of the project "Tatarstan - the Republic of Achievements", Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov summed up the results of the agricultural season of the current year, spoke about the prospects of the industry and answered questions from social media users.
The project "Tatarstan - the Republic of Achievements" covers the scientific, technological and cultural potential of our country and is aimed at highlighting the achievements of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan is traditionally among the regions - leaders of the country in agricultural production. The republic ranks fifth in the top 10 Russian regions in terms of gross agricultural output and is the leader in this indicator in the Volga Federal District. Today, the life of every fourth resident of the republic is connected with agriculture.
"The harvesting of the main grain crops is complete. Grain crops have been harvested on an area of 1 million 365 thousand hectares. To date, 3 million 970 thousand tons of grain have been collected in bunker weight with an average yield of 29 c/ha. After processing, the weight will be 3 million 790 thousand tons. Of these, 2 million 300 thousand tons are wheat, 976 thousand tons are barley, 141 thousand tons are rye, 134 thousand tons are legumes. In the fields, the harvesting of sunflower and corn for grain is nearing completion. Sunflower is to be threshed on an area of 21 thousand hectares; 18 thousand hectares of corn for grain. Today, the digging of sugar beets is being completed. 2 million 616 thousand tons of root crops have been dug up. Of these, 855 thousand tons have been processed. 121 thousand tons of sugar have been produced,” Marat Zyabbarov summed up. Cultivation of agricultural crops largely depends on weather and climate conditions. In order to minimize the effects of weather factors, much attention is paid to winter crops, high-quality and deep soil cultivation, early organization of spring sowing, organization of harvesting and land reclamation.
Within the framework of the federal project "Export of agricultural products" of the national project "International Cooperation and Export", 5 large-scale projects were implemented on an area of 5,398 hectares: construction of an irrigation system of Agrofirma Chistopolskaya LLC in the Chistopolsky District - 2,033 hectares of irrigation (2022), reconstruction of the drainage system of the Agrofirma Rassvet agricultural production cooperative in the Kukmorsky District - 1,145 hectares of drainage of wetlands (2021, 2024), land improvement works on the lands of Yarysh LLC in the Almetyevsk District - 1,079 hectares (2023), major repairs of the irrigated area of Severny Agricultural Production Cooperative LLC near the village of Sheka in the Arsky District - 583 hectares of irrigation (2021), construction of an irrigated area of Avgust-Muslyum LLC near the village. Urazmetyevo, Muslyumovsky district - 558 hectares of irrigation (2023-2024).
