A vote within the contest "Tastes of Russia" has started

20 October 2021, Wednesday

From October 20 to November 7, there is a popular vote taking place within the framework of the second National competition of regional food brands "Tastes of Russia". This year, 84 regions of Russia are presenting their unique food brands.

"The mass consumer is well acquainted with some of them, but there are also many local ones that almost no one knows about. They became a real discovery of the competition and once again gave an opportunity to see the inexhaustible gastronomic riches of our country. To tell people about such products and their stories, to introduce them to small farms that produce unusual and high-quality products, to help farmers in their promotion and marketing — this is the main task of "Tastes of Russia". We see how the competition encourages entrepreneurs to grow, helps the development of agrotourism and rural areas in general. I am sure that this year it will be no less successful than last year and will allow millions of Russians to learn more about the diverse cuisine of the regions of our country," said Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev.

Among the Tatarstan participants there are both ancient dishes, the history of which dates back several centuries, and relatively young and promising brands created or revived by farmers in the last decade. 17 Tatarstan brands present their products at the competition. Such brands as Tatar honey, chak-chak Kazan and Tatar tea participate in the nomination "People's Choice" representing our republic.

It should be noted that the competition not only opens up wide opportunities for manufacturers to promote the product, but also allows them to expand their competencies in the field of agribusiness, marketing, and sales organization.

Every citizen of our country can cast his vote on the official website of the contest by supporting three favorite products. The three winners in this nomination will be determined by receiving a majority vote.
